Experience Week 2025!

Are you curious about Intentional Community Living and Regenerative Farming?

This is an unique opportunity for people interested in EcoVillage life, homesteading skills, meaningful connections and cooperative regenerative farming.

Join us at one of Canada’s oldest Cooperative Farming Eco Village communities for an immersive week in community living while we work and play with a variety of the projects, skill building and activities designed to foster a harmonious relationship with the land and with one another. There are limited spaces so register now! 

WHEN?  August 17th to 23rd 2025

Experience learning and working together.

  • Working together in community to grow, preserve and enjoy the bounty from our organic gardens
  • Contributing to increasing biodiversity and sequestering carbon by preparing and planting a new native garden, 
  • Learning how to chop wood and build & start a fire
  • Building/upgrading an Infrastructure project 
  • Learn about making healthy organic soil
  • Forage edible plants and preserve them to take home
  • Take part in environmental stewardship activities
  • Complete the week on Saturday with our wider community for our monthly WorkBee.

 

Experience community living

  • Be part of a powerful alternative to traditional decision making. Participate in Whole Village meetings where you will witness The Consensus decision making model in action.
  • Get a deeper insight into the farming activities at Whole Village
  • Enjoy the glue that keeps a community alive and thriving: cooking and sharing meals singing and playing music by the evening fire drumming
  • Explore ‘big picture’ topics at a Conversation Cafe with the community
  • Celebrate with a drumming and song
  • Explore the principles of Non Violent Communication (NVC) aka Compassionate Communication
  • Spend Saturday evening at our local country brewery for dinner and live music (optional).
It is well known that people’s interactions with plants and soil through the forms of active gardening and appreciation of nature greatly reduces stress. Working with nature and community has a healing aspect for our bodies and our minds. 

Schedule:

Sunday Arrival

  • 2:00–4:00 Arrival, Camp Setup
  • 4:00–5:00 Nametags, Tour of Whole Village
  • 6:00–7:30 Dinner
  • 7:30–9:00 Welcome, Ice Breakers and Orientation

Monday through Friday

  • 8:00 – 9:00 Breakfast
  • 9:30–12:00 AM Session
  • 12:00–2:00 Lunch and free time
  • 2:00–3:30 PM Session
  • 3:30–6:00 Free time
  • 6:00–7:30 Dinner & cleanup
  • 7:30–9:30 Evening Activities

Saturday

  • 7:30 to 8:30 Breakfast
  • 10:00 to 12:30 – Workbee activity
  • 12:30 to 2:00 – Lunch
  • 2:00 to 4:00 – Workbee activity
  • Departure and optional visit to local brewery.

 

Evening activities:  Community check-in, Farm/Land Mandate Group, NVC introduction,  Conversation Cafe, Woodchopping and camp fire, Optional trip to Goodlot brewery.

 

Fees and Accommodations

There is a financial contribution for experience week to cover administration, food and a vital contribution to the overhead costs to keep the farm running, including infrastructure, tools, animal supplies increasing biodiversity with,native plants, and trees.

Program and meals:   $750 CDN per person

Food includes: Daily Breakfast, lunch, 6 dinners (vegan, vegetarian & meat options) and snacks, Saturday night optional dinner at Brewery (pay your own way)

Accommodation prices:

  • Tent $120 – outdoor “facilities” plus access to indoor kitchen & bathroom/shower
  • Treehouse cabin (double bed)  $350 – outdoor “facilities” plus access to indoor kitchen & bathroom/shower
  • Bluebird cabin (double bed) $350- outdoor “facilities” plus access to indoor kitchen & bathroom/shower 
  • Rooms (Queen bed) in Greenhaven  $700.  Use of Common kitchen and shared bathroom/shower
  • Other local accomodations available off-site.

If you cancel up to 15 days from the start of the event, we will refund your payment minus a non-refundable booking fee of $50.  No refunds within 2 weeks of the start of Experience Week.
