Become a Member
If you are interested in exploring whether the Whole Village community is a good fit for you, we have a comprehensive membership process to follow. We welcome all kinds of people in all stages of life including families with young children.
First attend an orientation. Then join us at meetings, dinners and other events to get to know community members. A mentor will be assigned to help guide you through the process. We’ll also provide you with a binder of policies, procedures and information.
There are two roads to membership. We prefer if you come and live here for a 2 to 3 week immersion. Another method is to attend at least 6 events over a minimum of three months. During the process you will share your biography, fill out a questionnaire, review The Culture of Whole Village with us and participate in two interviews with members.
We offer associate memberships for only $20 monthly for people interested in keeping up-to-date with us through email or those interested in supporting our project.
Check our Events Calendar for Orientation dates. Please register with info@wholevillage.org if you would like to attend (minimum $10 donation). Always check out the “Before you come” guidelines before you visit.
Orientations
Orientations are the best way to learn more about Whole Village in a half day visit. We meet in our common residence, Greenhaven, at 1:00 p.m. to provide a brief presentation of our history, organizational structure, farming operations and more. Included is a tour of the eco-residence, both common spaces and suites, then a walk around the farm to view our various projects. . During January and February we do our Orientations by ZOOM in case the weather is poor or for those who live far away. We ask for a $10 donation per person for this event. To attend please register at info@wholevillage.org

Work Bees
At Work Bees community members, neighbours, friends and newcomers come together to work on community projects.
We meet at 10 a.m. and choose groups – perhaps mulching the gardens or collecting firewood or canning tomatoes indoors. At lunch we share in a delicious, organic community meal. It’s a wonderful way to meet community members, get outside and learn more about the community in a fun and relaxed setting. The day winds up at 4:00 p.m. when you are welcome to gather for tea or a cold drink in the living room. To attend please register at info@wholevillage.org
